MARTIN LUTHERKING.

Martin Lutherking was important American activist for racial equality and participed in protests against the war in Vietnam. he was bor in EE.UU in 1929. since childhood, he lived the experiences of a segregated society, at age six, two white friends they announced that they were not allowed to play whit him.
he received the nobel peace prize in 1964.
Lutherking, civil rights activist from a young, organized and carried out various peaceful activities demanding the right to vote, non-discrimination and other basic civil rights for black people in the united states. King is remembered as one of the greatest leaders and heroes of U.S history and in the modern history of not violence. He was posthumously awarded the presidential medal of freedom by Jimmy Carter in 1927.
Since 1965, Martin Luther King had begun to publicly express doubts about the role of the United States in the Vietnam War. On April 4, 1967, a year before his death in New York gave the speech "Beyond Vietnam: Time to break the silence." It denounced the attitude of the United States in Vietnam and emphasized the fact that they were occupying the country as a U.S. colony and called the U.S. government "the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today." He insisted also that the country needed a great moral change. Luther King was hated by many white racist southern states, but this speech made ​​numerous media turned against him. Time called the speech as "demagogic slander that looked like a script for Radio Hanoi," and The Washington Post declared that King had "diminished his usefulness to his cause, his country, his people"
On April 4, 1968 at 18 hours and one minute, Martin Luther King was assassinated by a white segregationist in the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis (Tennessee). His last words on that balcony were directed to musician Ben Branch, who was performing that night at a public meeting would attend Martin Luther.
