Peter Tosh
Winston Hubert Mclnstosh, better know by his stage name Peter Tosh. He born in October 19, 1944 and died in 11 September 1987. Was a jamaican reggae musician who was part of the group in their early Wailers and then have a succesful solo carreer in addition to being of the pioners of Rastafari.
In the Wailers, in the early 60's Tosh met Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer through his vocal teacher, Joe Higgs. While perfecting their sound the trio began playing at the corners of a slum called Trenchtown Jamaica. Joe Higgs was the man who thought him the trio to harmonize. In 1962, he was the driving force behind the formation of the Wailing Wailers with Junior Braithwaite and Beverly Kelso Choirs and Cherry Smith.
Along with Bob Marley at the end of 1960, Peter Tosh became a follower of the religion known as Rastafari. Tosh, Marley and later became a member of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church.
Death:
A gang comes home of Peter Tosh to steal and he said he had no money in the house, but the band leader put a gun to his head and fired twice, killing him the 11 September 1987.
